I rented Guido's blue bedroom for 3 weeks in July 2010 and found it to be a wonderful base: private and quiet, and with a very stylish bedroom and kitchen. The view from the balcony reminded me every day why I wanted to spend 3 weeks in Rio and I made good friends with the house cat in the garden. The cleaning lady couldn't have been more helpful and the locals were enormously friendly. I can happily recommend Guido's house to anyone who knows their way around Rio a bit and wants a bit of stylish independence. Being lazy, I generally walked down the hill to the metro station most days but took a motorbike taxi back - all very easy.   Jonathon Bond, London July 2010
